The Red Line Extension provides numerous opportunities for individuals interested in working in construction to launch or grow their careers.

Not sure where to start? There are lots of resources available in the region to introduce you to possible careers in the trades, including Hire360 and Chicago Women in Trades.

Walsh-VINCI Transit Community Partners (WVTCP) recommends connecting with both workforce groups to learn more about existing trade worker placement and apprenticeship programs.  These programs will help you develop skills to become competitive candidates for the Red Line Extension (RLE) project and other construction projects throughout the Chicagoland area.

Additionally, Metropolitan Family Services and Revolution Workshop offer introductory pre-apprenticeship programming designed to expose interested candidates to careers in the trades and connect them with potential employers in the industry.
