About Us

Construction joint venture partners Walsh and VINCI have strategically assembled an experienced team of design-build transit-rail and transportation infrastructure experts known as WALSH VINCI Transit Community Partners, or WVTCP. If selected by the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) as the design-build team for the Red Line Extension, WVTCP will successfully deliver CTA’s RLE Mainline Project through an organization and management structure that derives its success from a philosophy of teamwork and partnership, both internally within the Team, as well as with CTA, City of Chicago, and local stakeholders

Joint Venture Team

As leaders of the project, Walsh Construction and Vinci hold the responsibilities of establishing Line Item Joint Venture Agreements amongst all partners.

Building Partners

Our team is committed to actively engaging, developing, and partnering with certified DBE (disadvantaged business enterprises) subcontractors and suppliers. Our team understands that a critical element to creating a successful project is the involvement of DBE firms from the onset. We look forward to working with DBE firms and community stakeholders to revitalize Chicago’s critical transit infrastructure.

The Station Specific Contractors include: Walsh Construction, Toro Construction and GMA. These partners will receive supportive services from Riteway/Huggins, Brown & Momen and Atrium Inc.

As you probably know, the RLE is a 5.6-mile expanse of rail that will travel from the 95th Street Red Line Terminal south to 130th Street at Doty Avenue. Comprised of beautiful bridges and anchored by four new transit stations, the RLE will soar across South Side communities, bringing with it construction-related jobs and access to new opportunities. Our team wants to be the design-build partner of choice to work with the CTA and South Side community members to soar. For the Walsh-Vinci Transit Community Partners, it’s “Red Ahead” with the experience, track record and vision that only our team can provide.
